Volunteer/ Bond

As a non-profit community organization, the Skate Canada Wasaga Beach relies on the support and contribution of volunteers to manage the club and deliver the amazing programs and events we offer. Members and their families must be involved in maintaining operations. This ensures all skaters receive the support they need, while keeping membership costs to a minimum. We ask that members support the club by volunteering for jobs during the sessions as well as during our annual Carnival event. 

Volunteer Opportunities

Each family is required to complete 15 volunteer hours during the skating season .   Deadline is April 15 2027. Bond will be automatically added to winter invoice, and you will have the opportunity to pay down this amount by completing volunteer hours required.

All parents are required to help with special events such as the Carnival, showcases, competitions, fundraising, session reps etc. as needed. Again, the hours may vary depending on events. During your shift, you may be required to assist coaches or executive members as needed.

We ask each family to signup for at least one job for each of these events when they become available:

• December 3-6, 2027 sectionals competition
• March 19-21, 2027 provincial championships
• Carnival
