Skate Canada Wasaga Beach
Skate Canada Fee
Please note that that Annual Skate Canada Membership is a separate Fee paid that each skater must pay yearly. This membership and insurance is valid from September 1st until August 31st every year. For the current 2021/2022 season this fee is $43.75
Bond
As a non-profit community organization, the Skate Canda Wasaga Beach relies on the support and contribution of volunteers to manage the club and deliver the amazing programs and events we offer. Members and their families must be involved in maintaining operations. This ensures all skaters receive the support they need, while keeping membership costs to a minimum. We ask that members support the club by volunteering for jobs during the sessions as well as during our annual Carnival event.
Bond Opportunities
Each family is required to complete 2 bond jobs during the skating season to cover their bond cheque. Bond cheques will only be cashed in the event that the required shifts are incomplete at the end of the season. Bond hours are based on registration numbers and vary from level to level.
All parents are required to help with special events such as the Carnival, showcases, etc. as needed. Again, the hours may vary depending on registration. During your shift, you may be required to assist coaches or executive members as needed.
You can sign up for Bond Hours one of two ways. When you are registering for programs, during check-out you can select "add volunteer position" and choose a Bond Job. Or you can go to the Main Home page and on the bottom left corner you will see the same icon "add volunteer position"
Once you have completed your Bond Job and executive member will mark it s complete
You can also check what Bond jobs you have registered for by looking under your Uplifter profile and selecting "Volunteering".
Fundraising
Fundraising is a very integral and important part of Skate Canada Wasaga Beach as it helps to keep ice and program cost reasonable and affordable for everyone, at every skating level. During our winter skating season there will be multiple fundraising opportunities.
Fundraising costs for the 2021/22 are as follows; single skater $75.00, family $100. (upon registration it defaults to family rate on your invoice, but will be manually corrected for single skaters). Please take this into consideration when sending e-transfers.
